We have finished WWOOF at 90 mile beach. It was an incredible place to stay and wasn't much work considering we were staying for free and they were cooking dinner for us each night! We have also been enjoying getting to know two different groups of German's. Christine and Patrick, and Markus and Thillo. They have all also been WWOOFing at 90 mile beach for the past week.
Each night we have been playing board games, sharing stories, and Andrew and I have been working on learning German. Today we all enjoyed our last day at 90 mile beach by going down to the beach and playing in the water. We threw a football around with Thillo and Markus, went bodyboarding with all four of them, and Markus, Thillo, and Andrew all tried flying my stunt kite!

Christine, who is a pastry chef, also showed me how to make a German apple strudel, using gluten free flour. I look forward to trying again and seeing if I can replicate what I learned. Markus and Thillo shared a shortbread recipe that they had learned at their last WWOOFing place. Andrew and I made some fudge and some English toffee to share with everyone. It has been great and we all work really well together. Hopefully we will end up running into each other again sometime!
I think one of the strangest things about travelling is the friends that you make along the road. People who you meet for an hour or a day or a week, but with whom you share an instant connection over shared passions and shared adventures.
